SCOPE: Schematic Design, Preliminary Modeling, Planting, Irrigation, and Site Amenities

DESCRIPTION: Located in downtown Moses Lake, the Multimodal Transit Center was designed as a transportation hub for the community and outlying regional destinations. The facility serves as a hub for a range of transportation means ranging from buses to bicycles. The site was designed to accommodate several buses and other vehicles simultaneously. The landscape embraces the character of the overall region; incorporating columnar basalt, rock mulches, and drought tolerant plants and perennial grasses. Long term maintenance and resource conservation was a major design team goal, ensuring landscape operating costs were reduced to the greatest extent.
